The world needs people who have come alive — Issue 34
Hi folks! Welcome to Issue 34 of What Makes Good.
I ran across this quote recently:
“Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” — Howard Thurman
What are you currently working on that’s making you come alive? On the flip side what’s draining your tank? Useful questions to think about.
Happy clicking.

NOTE TO SELF
[A short riff from one of our team on life, creativity and startups.]
I tell my kids that when you boil it down, life is all about solving problems.
If you can be a good problem solver, you’ll be successful in life.
A business is essentially just helping someone solve a problem and receiving an exchange of value for that assistance.
So what problem do you solve?
What problem does your product or service solve for your customer?
Businesses that struggle to get customers likely struggle to articulate either the problem that they are trying to solve or their solution.
This is the most powerful marketing message that you can create.
If you can articulate the problem and your solution clearly, you’ve done the hardest part.
“There are problems in this world that you are uniquely equipped to solve. Your singular perspective may patch some small hole in the vast tattered fabric of humanity.”
